Questions that often come up before working together

If your question is missing, write to me. I usually reply the same day.

In what steps do we work together?

After the first conversation, you get a written proposal with scope, timeline and fee. We split larger projects into stages, each with a defined interim result. After each stage, you decide whether and how to continue.

What does it cost?

The AI readiness assessment costs €1,800 for one day with up to about 15 participants, anywhere in Germany. Mileage and expenses are added. Consulting and sparring are billed at day rates; clearly defined services such as media training, workshops, productions or tools at a flat fee. I name the amount as soon as I know the scope.

About the assessment

Do you build the tools yourself?

Yes. I use 20 tools I built myself, from the video room to the AI newsroom. For you, I build a tool to fit your needs, either new or derived from one of these examples, and connect it to the software you already have. The tool belongs to you, and you can extend it at any time.

And who takes care of running it afterwards?

We settle that before I build. The tool can be installed on your server, at your IT service provider or on a server I set up. At handover, we define what happens when something fails, who gets notified and who is responsible. If your day-to-day business depends on a process so much that nothing works without it, I’ll tell you before we build it.

Do you also produce videos, shows and podcasts?

Yes. I do the concept, shoot, hosting and editing myself, in my own studio and with the AI editing suite, which transcribes every interview and edits the piece through to the broadcast version. Add to that Business TV, meaning regular shows for staff, customers or members, and podcasts with copy for the website and social networks.

Can you connect your tools to our content system?

In most cases, yes: WordPress and other content management systems, input forms of association portals, social networks, calendars and file storage. We decide which connections are worth it once I know the software your team uses today.

We’re a small association. Is it worth it?

Often more than for large organizations. Where volunteers do the work, a well-chosen tool saves hours, for example in press work. But if it is introduced over the heads of the people involved, soon nobody in the association uses it. Tell me your budget, and I’ll tell you what can be done with it.

Example: press work for associations

How do you handle data protection and the EU AI Act?

I plan for both from the start: the GDPR and the obligations under the EU AI Act, especially the AI literacy requirement in Article 4. It requires that employees who work with AI are adequately trained for it. Before a request goes to the AI, names can be replaced with placeholders. The data is stored on servers in Germany. For legally binding reviews, we bring in your legal department or a specialized lawyer. I am not a lawyer.

Do you host events?

Yes: panels, public dialogues, conferences, talks and web formats, in German and in English.

Where do you work?

Registered office in Heidelberg, an office in Bautzen in Oberlausitz. On-site appointments anywhere in Germany, follow-up support mostly by video call.

Nothing here on that yet. Ask me directly.
